Takis was hungry to reach a new audience that could match its intensity. And no one plays harder than gamers. 

So we created a Fortnite experience that enhanced gameplay instead of interrupting it. Takis: Trailblazers transformed Fortnite islands into worlds where intensity equals reward. Our gamified brand integration fueled competition with loot, XP, and bragging rights for fire play.

Each of Takis’ three hero flavours, Intense Nacho, Blue Heat and Fuego, became a “Heat Meter” that climbed with every elimination. 

When players maxed out their meter, defeated opponents exploded into a bag of Takis, unleashing fiery visuals and dropping loot, XP and rewards. The hotter they played, the stronger they became, with flames intensifying and igniting their Back Bling to show everyone who was bringing the heat.

We collaborated with three Canadian creators to bring Takis’ heat into their maps: Box PvP, Troll Bed Wars and Wolves vs Chickens. Each creator hid custom rewards inside each Takis bag, giving players boosts in speed, strength and weapons that turned every match into pure chaos. 

Launching during the holiday break, Takis lit up the busiest gaming time of the year, hitting players when they were most active and hungry for fun. From creator streams to highlight clips, Fortnite lobbies erupted with Takis energy as the experience spread across the community.

In just fifteen days, the activation delivered massive results with more than 15 million interactions, 159 million impressions and 2.9 million hours of gameplay. 

Players weren’t just participating, they were competing to turn up the heat. By transforming flavour into fuel, we transformed Takis’ intense falvours into gameplay power, proving that when you meet gamers on their level, they’ll take your brand higher.
